I've came across an art tip recently from Will Terrell (An artist and a youtuber) and it really stuck to me as a mean to improve my art- immensely:

Give your drawings a story.

Take this drawing I did recently as an example:

It would've been fine if I sketched a bust shot of Chrysalis and leave it as be. It would still be pretty, but it wouldn't be as interesting and it would leave little for the viewers to infer. For instance: Is Chrysalis finally a member of the equestrian society and is at long last allowed access to conventional coffee? Or did she return from a successful raid and is enjoying a cup of coffee on her coffee table? Or who is to say that's even coffee? Maybe it's liquefied love. So many possibilities! And that leaves the viewer with something memorable! Or I guess, I can't read you guys' minds.

So that's my tip of the day!

And I'm interested in hearing the art tips you guys find the most relevant/helpful in your artistic journey!

And now! Back to being an art slave.
